Aspen Adirondack Estate

This 6,500 sq. ft. adirondak style home, completed in early 1997, was built as a traditional log and stone home. Its very core is state of the art including satellite TV/audio with whole house distribution, high speed Internet access, a sophisticated electronic lighting system, movie projector and screen, an ultra-modern, fully-equipped large country kitchen that opens onto the deck outside. Other amenities include radiant floor heating, an outside hot tub with adjacent space heater, as well as a new digital phone system with house wide paging, and a 2-car heated garage.

The house is very private and well sound proofed, with outstanding views of Aspen Mountain while being a mere 10 minute walk to the gondola. Throughout most of the winter it is bathed in sunlight with its stone mass keeping the house at a constant, comfortable temperature.

In addition to the large living room with fireplace, there is an adjacent library which was designed for reading or watching television. There are additional seating areas on the upstairs landing as well as in the large kitchen.

The furnishings are typical of a 100 year-old lodge in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York with antique quilts, overstuffed chairs and large reading lamps. The wood floors are from a 200 year-old Maine farmhouse. The floor stones are native to Colorado. The logs are from Utah and are unstripped. The outside stone is from the Compraghe plateau.

There are 4 bedrooms in the main house and another 2 bedrooms in the 120 year old refurbished miners cabin that sits adjacent on the same property.

Upper Level:
Master Queen Bedroom Suite
With views of Aspen Mountain and near the children's room, this comfortable room has a walk-in closet, sitting area, desk and TV. Bath has a Jacuzzi tub, steam shower and double sinks.

Two Queen Bedroom Suites each with their own private bath with shower.

Children's Room: Large room offering 2 double beds, a double sofa bed and a twin day bed. Full entertainment system including TV and stereo. Full Bath with double sinks.

Two Bedroom Miner's Cabin:
A replica of the large house with fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and living room with fireplace and loft, TV, DVD, and entertainment center.

Queen bedroom has private full bath.
Double bedroom has a shared bath with shower.
Sofa bed in the living room.
Loft, accessed by a ladder, can sleep 2 more if needed.
