Excellent shopping and restaurant opportunities can be found in the villages and towns of the area.

The town of Albertville hosted the 1992 winter Olympics and is less than 30 kilometers away. Chambéry, the past capital of the independent state of Savoie is 25 kilometers away. Lake Annecy and its tremendous sightseeing and water activities is less than 40 kilometers from the chateau.
