A luxury lodge located in a semi wilderness setting at Moonlight Head, the Great Ocean Road, Victoria. Designed by Australia’s leading environmental Architect, the internationally acclaimed Glenn Mucutt in association with Wendy Lewin.

This 260m2 (2600ft) four bedroom contemporary full service lodge is for the exclusive use of parties of up to 8, is located in a physical setting that overlooks Victoria’s largest national park the coastal hugging Otway National Park of over 200,000 acres of coastal bush that provides the home to the local Australian wildlife that is also found around the lodge.

The lodge is suitable for the most discrete of couples seeking complete privacy or is flexible enough to meet the vacation requirements of the most demanding of families. The lodge is oriented to maximize the northern light but also seeks to focus the guest to its ocean views providing warmth and comfort as well as delight to the viewer.

Moonlight Head seeks to delight. From the bush hiker to the motorbike rider, the sightseer (by helicopter ride!) to the birdspotter, the golfer to the horseback rider, from the active to the idle, Moonlight Head caters for all.

For those guests under 15, Moonlight Head aims to please: be it providing scooters to x-boxes or the latest from JK Rowling. Importance is placed on anticipating your family needs. For those less inclined to exercise, allow us to pamper you with a range of treatments to soothe and soften, enhanced with a selection of opulent balms and lotions.

Moonlight Head Lodge is generously proportioned to reflect the magnificent views of the expansive surrounds. The house will immerse your senses in the natural beauty of the wilderness all around, whilst placing you physically in refined comfort.

Moonlight Head's guests will enjoy spacious European - styled rooms and suites. Using materials specially selected for their recyclable qualities and aesthetics, the rooms harmonise luxury with a semi -wilderness setting.

Essentially minimalist in style, the rooms are furnished using European leather furniture created by the world's leading designers, antique Persian rugs and Italian designed lighting to create the perfect atmosphere to suite your mood. European feather down duvets and pure cotton sheets, the highest quality mattresses and fine pillows all combine to make sleeping at Moonlight Head an experience that shall be dreamt of for years to come.

The lodge is orientated towards the sea, providing an ocean view for you to wonder at the marvellous colours of the unique Australian summer sunset, or the majesty of winter storm hammering at windows, whilst secure in the warmth and comfort of the lodge.
Reflect on the richness of light effects achieved by roof lights. As day turns to night sit in awe of the Southern night sky as the stars and the moonlight play throughout the lodge.

These experiences cherished in the years to come are enhanced by a handcrafted telescope to bring the night sky into view.

After a long day spent immersed in nature, you can relax in your bathroom that is designed to appeal to the every sense including your private view of expansive bush clad landscape where the eye wanders from the mobs of Kangaroos at play across to the ocean and back whilst the mind relaxes or keep up to date with the outside world via high speed satellite connectivity or relax with a movie on a Bang & Olufsen flat screen TV.

Breakfast and pre supper snacks will be accompanied by glimpses of kangaroos, parakeets, and kookaburras against the backdrop of spectacular sunrises and sunsets while you dine.
Our expert chefs will go to any lengths to provide you with the perfect meal. Whether your requirement is for the finest Australian steak, fresh seafood or for a tasty salad, everything is available and can all be complimented with your choice from our hand picked selection of local and international wines.

Later in the evening you can adjourn to the formal living area, where we will prepare the drink of your choice and tales of the day's adventures can be recounted as the delicate bite of fulfilment and exhaustion make their pleasurable presence felt.
