Every room in the Tower bears the hallmark of Ackergill. Soak in the glorious view from the Morning Room towards the Skerries Lighthouse, which guards the dangerous tides and eddies of the Pentland Firth - itself a myriad of colours and shades created by the subtle depth and dimensions of true northern light and the reflections of sunlight on breaking waves and surf. The Tower has 17 bedrooms in the Castle, comprising 15 double / twins and 2 singles, 2 private suites in the Old Laundry, 3 double bedrooms in the Keepers and additional accommodation in the Garden Cottage and Smiddy.

The Tower is in a remote location, but offers a huge variety of activities to their guests such as fly fishing on Loch Killimster; Salmon Fishing on the River Thurso; Sea trout fishing on Ackergills own fishery at Loch Wester; Seaside golf links at Wick founded by Sir George Dunbar in 1870 and redesigned by Ronan Rafferty in 2000; Championship golf links at nearby Royal Dornoch, Riding on the beach or over the hills and moors; Duck and Goose shooting and clay pigeon shooting; Bowling, Archery and challenging outdoor games; Scenic walks from Skirza Head to John O'Groats; Picnics on the beach & barbecues; Sightseeing in the area; Masseuse and reflexologists available; Massage, facials, colour analysis are all in store; Bird and wildlife watching; Ceilidhs and pipers; Opera and Musical events or Rides in the Bay for the Sport and Sea enthusiast.
