This Villa is a superbly finished casale in a stunning and perfectly peaceful setting between the sea and Mount Etna. The views, the gardens, the pool, the style of the house and fittings and the relaxed, professional nature of the welcome make this villa one of the finest luxury villas in Sicily. Inside, the house is hard to fault for beauty and quality. Indoor and outdoor living combine seamlessly due to a series of bright and welcoming living areas and their communication with the terraces and gardens. All of the accommodation has been recently restored to an extremely high standard, and collections of antique furniture, fittings and art complement the effect.
Inside: the accommodation is in two main buildings. The first is the original casale and is structured as follows: the main entrance takes you left into the house and straight on to the garden. Inside the house, on the ground floor is the wonderfully fitted kitchen, dining room and a sequence of reception areas leading through arched doorways to a large living area with open fireplace and doors leading to the garden. Upstairs is accommodation for eight in four double bedrooms. The second building is a luxuriously restored farm house directly next to the Casale with a large sitting room, bright and spacious hallway, large and perfectly designed kitchen and accommodation for eight in four double rooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms have a shower and a tub.
Outside: the living areas are extensive, with several terraces for dining and relaxing, a beautiful pool and large areas of lawn. The views down from the gardens to the sea are interrupted only by large expanses of citrus groves and behind the house is the awe inspiring sight of Mount Etna.
The two houses may be let separately in low season. 18 hole golf nearby. Heating and A/C throughout perfect for summer and winter. Pool open all year. Getting Around:
Situated near the town of Giarre on the east coast of Sicily about half way between Catania and Taormina, the villa is a good base from which to visit Taormina, Catania, Mount Etna and the various fascinating villages on its flanks. There are also several charming fishing villages and some nice beaches nearby. An eighteen hole golf course is fifteen minutes drive away.
Further afield, Syracuse, the baroque towns of the Noto valley, the quiet beaches of Vendicari and Capo Passero to the south and Messina to the north are all comfortably reachable for day trips.
We can also arrange for you to over fly Mount Etna and many other sites, or to make excursions to the Aeolian Islands, by helicopter.
