It towers above Sant Mori, a small medieval village perched on a hill, in a country location in the "Alt Empordá". From its gothic windows you can see across the entire Empordá plain. Maybe it was for this reason that Queen Joana Enriquez of Navarra and Aragon chose this unique location as her residence during the civil war of 1462-1472. Within these noble walls the queen organised festivities in order to win supporters to her cause. She also called together the parliament in an attempt to end the conflict.
A story that still remains within these impenetrable walls, but nowadays with an enhanced appearance.
After undergoing impecable renovation the castle doors are opened for lodging.
Distributed on three floors, it provides thirteen beautifully furnished rooms complete with bath, a salon featuring an impressive chimney, a dining room, office, kitchen and gamesroom.
