Tuscan Villa

The Villa is located 2 km outside the walled city of Lucca with downtown Florence under 1 hour away by car or train, 30 minutes to the sea; the ideal location to explore Tuscany and beyond.

Ancient walls surround this park-like garden with a variety of fruit trees. The sunny terrace is lined by terracotta planters with a profusion of flowers, in the evenings dinner can be served here "al fresco".

For the children, inside the garden is a 26 foot diameter round above ground swimming pool.

Lucca was made famous by it's silk trade, the artist owner has a private drapery studio on the property.

Interior Downstairs
The high quality interiors include many antiques and period pieces, very skillfully decorated to make the villa feel like a home, not like a museum.

On the ground floor are the public rooms which open out to the terrace and garden.

The living room has a baby grand piano, the study has a satellite TV.

The villa has a large dining room, an intimate breakfast room, the fully equipped, country style kitchen, and a separate laundry room.

2 bedrooms are on this ground level, one double bedroom and one bedroom with twin beds. Each has a bathroom with shower.

Interior Upstairs
The grand staircase brings you up to the second level and into the most elegant sitting room, the Salone.

From the Salon you enter the bedrooms. This second level has 4 double bedrooms, two of which are furnished in period style with frescoed walls and ceilings, and are pictured here.

Of the 3 bathrooms, one has a large double Jacuzzi whirlpool. All 3 bathrooms have showers.

On the 3rd level are the butler's quarters.

Sleeps 12 adults, extra beds are available for two children.
